La Repubblica: “More than a dozen Serie A players involved in illegal betting investigations”
The newspaper La Repubblica gives new ground to the investigation into illegal betting by Serie A players as it reports in its publication that more than 12 players are involved in the investigation.
The news of the illegal betting scandal involving Serie A footballers spread like lightning. The first player to see the light of day that he is the focus of the investigation is Niccolo Faggioli, followed by Sandro Tonali and Niccolo Zaniolo.
Italy’s La Repubblica reports in its publication that the investigation concerns more than a dozen players competing in the Italian league. The only detail he mentions is that among them is a teammate of Fazioli’s and therefore also a Juventus player.
The publication states that further developments are expected in the coming days and that if found guilty, the players actually face a football ban of up to three years.
