Tonali, Zaniolo and Fazoli are betting heavily on Serie A and Champions League games
The Italian international football player betting scandal has opened Aiolos’ pockets and threatens to damage the careers of Tonali, Zaniolo and Fazoli, as large sums were reportedly bet on Serie A and Champions League matches.
With actions at a collective level halted due to national team commitments, the Italian national team and its ambition to reach the Euro 2024 final is being discussed in the neighboring country, but is not the first topic of discussion among fans.
This is because the matches of Luciano Spalletti’s team were overshadowed by the huge scandal of illegal betting by international players, in which Fazoli, Tonali and Ganiolo were allegedly involved and which was under scrutiny by law enforcement authorities.
In fact, according to today’s revelation by “Corriere dello Sport”, there are indications in the documents of the ongoing investigation that the three players have bet large sums of money (over 1 million euros each) on Serie A and Champions League games. There are currently suspicions that that you can also bet on games played by your own teams.
If all of this is confirmed, each of the stadiums could face exclusion for up to four years, with developments on this particular issue having evolved rapidly in the last 24 hours.
