Barela blurted out, “You guys are rascals, I never bet.”
Niccolò Barella saw his name mentioned in the illegal betting case in Italy and lashed out in two angry posts on his Instagram account.
Italian football is in incredible turmoil due to the illegal betting scandal and so far three players have admitted their involvement in it: Niccolò Ganiolo, Niccolò Fazzoli and Sandro Tonali.
But at a time when different names of those involved in this case are being heard on the right and left, Nikolo Barela saw that his name was mentioned in an article in the newspaper “Verita” and decided to react forcefully and, among other things, about… speak. Punks.
“From a newspaper called LaVerità (The Truth) one would expect more seriousness. The only truth is that you are villains. was the Inter midfielder’s first comment on Instastory, followed by a second in which he made the following comments:
“I kept my mouth shut for a very long time, despite what I read about myself. I never liked gambling, let alone gambling (especially at my job).
The only thing I care about is protecting my daughters and my family from these s@@@s… I will be taking legal action for that starting today.”
