Mourinho was sent off for loud gestures on the Roma bench
Jose Mourinho was sent off in the 10th minute of added time in Roma’s game against Monza for making loud gestures towards the opposition bench.
Roma scored the winning goal against Monza in the 90th minute of the game at the Olimpico, but that wasn’t the final act of the game. Jose Mourinho had the final say as he was sacked for a rowdy move.
The game had reached the 9th minute of stoppage time, but the game was not over yet. The guests protested and demanded further delays, with the Portuguese coach making argumentative gestures towards them.
Although his teammates tried to push him towards the bench, he did not escape the referee’s red card, which he accepted without protest.
