Bologna 1-0 Lazio: Get the three points and climb to 6th place
After Ferguson scored early in the second half, this year’s Bologna standout defeated Lazio 1-0 and moved up to 6th place, ending a ten-game unbeaten run in the league.
In the premiere of this year’s Campionato, Bologna lost 2-0 at home to Milan, but since then they have not only improved, but also achieved something unimaginable: they have either won or drawn a double-digit number of games.
The Rossoblu’s tenth consecutive unbeaten game took place on Friday evening (03/11) when they beat Lazio 1-0 on matchday 11 of Serie A, scoring a golden goal from Ferguson in the 46th minute, moving them up to 6th place .Place advanced.
The first part offered little emotion to the audience of “Dal’Ara” and it is characteristic that in this period Bologna did not have a single targeted attempt (2 finals), while Lazio had only one (5 finals).
In the second half, Bologna put in a strong performance and took the lead in the 46th minute through Ferguson, who equaled Dennis Lowe (10 with Torino in the 1961–62 season) as the Scottish player with the most goals in Serie A.
Afterwards, Lazio looked for an equalizer but were far from their best, failing to put the ball in the net (six attempts in total), while Thiago Motta’s side played brilliantly and scored a big success that sent Sarri to the net First time forced failure after three league wins in a row.
For the winners, Babis Lykogiannis wore the starting jersey, covering the left-back position (a change was made in the 80s), while for Lazio, Christos Mandas remained on the bench.
