Roma – Juventus 3-4: Incredible surprise in an unthinkable match

Goals, injuries, protests, excitement, VAR, missed penalties, red cards and more goals. The Roma match against Juventus was tough and found their winner “bianconeri” with them 4-3 for the 21st game of Serie A.

The two teams came in aggressively from the first minutes, despite their absences due to the coronavirus and the Africa Cup (especially the guests). In the 11th minute, Tami Ibrahim, one of the three Englishmen in the Roma squad (Ensley Maitland Niles started the day after his announcement), opened the goal with a narrow header.

The swing was reversed and two minutes later another substitution, Dejan Kulusewski, equalized in what Juan Cuadrado considered offside. In the 77th minute, Chris Smalling accidentally equalized on De Cillio and he took the throw from close range, but nothing was over.

A few minutes later, Matthias de Licht made his hand in the penalty area, was sent off with the second yellow card and Pellegrini had the chance to become a hero. The Roma captain lost to Wojciech Sesni and despite the Gialorosi’s chances in the end, Juventus scored a three in this game that will go down in history.
