Milan are planning a dynamic start in the summer transfer market, with reports from France and Italy claiming that Riyad Mahrez is at the top of the Rossoneri list for the new season.
Milan are going head-to-head with Inter for the coveted Scudetto, which has been missing from their collection since 2011, but that hasn’t stopped the club’s management from making transfer plans.
In fact, these are utterly grandiose from what has come to light in the last few hours as the Rossoneri look to tie the knot with the takeover of Riyad Mahrez in the season finale.
The Algerian international is tied to a contract with Manchester City that expires in the summer of 2023, with the Rossoneri people expecting to lure the English champions with a sum of €40m to greenlight the concession.
Should the deal go through, the 31-year-old Algerian is expected to be Stefano Pioli’s main choice for Milan in the 2022-23 season, with the Italian manager filling in the specific position of Salemakers and Messiahs this season.
