Kvaratskelia became Napoli’s first signing for the new season
Hvica Kvaratskelia is Napoli’s first acquisition ahead of the new season, according to Partenopei president Aurelio De Laurentiis, with the Georgian winger signing a five-year deal.
Aurelio De Laurentiis spoke to the radio station “Radio Kiss Kiss” on Wednesday (April 27) and apologized “from all Napoli fans for the very bad defeat at Empoli headquarters”but he did not stay there, only after making sure to “warm up” the friends of the Partenopei with two pieces of news.
The first had to do with Dries Mertens, with the club’s strongman declaring the two are in talks and even arranging a date at the end of the season to discuss the matter of extending Belgium’s contract.
The second, however, had nothing to do with a discussion about the future, but with something more tangible after the announcement that Napoli’s first transfer blow in view of the new season was in order Hvitsa Kvaratskelia.
It’s a great move as the player has been on the radar of several teams including Tottenham and journalist Fabrizio Romano revealed the Georgia international (who is expected to fill the gap at Insigne) will sign a five-year deal.
According to website Calcionapoli24, Napoli offered Dinamo Batumi an amount of 10 million euros to complete the deal, with the player agreeing to 1 million euros as annual salary.
