Florenzi to the prosecutor: “I bet, but not on football”
Alessandro Florenzi has testified before the Turin prosecutor’s office to explain his involvement in illegal betting. The Milan defender admitted he had bet, but not on a football match.
The illegal betting scandal continues to plague Italian football and little by little the names of Italian players involved in this “sinful” affair are being published.
So according to Sandro Tonali And Nikolo Fazoli who were found guilty of illegal betting activities and punished with a ban from all competitive activity for several months (10 months for the Newcastle midfielder, 7 months that of Juventus) and await the decision on Nikolos Zaniolo, another international football player has come under scrutiny in the last 24 hours.
This is Alessandro Florenzi, to whom the police have informed that he is now under official investigation by the Italian justice system, and the AC Milan defender came through the door of the Turin public prosecutor’s office on Thursday (16/11) to present his version of the categories attributed to this.
According to the media reports in the neighboring country, Florenzi arrived at the prosecutor’s office at 3:30 p.m. and his testimony lasted about 1.5 hours.
“I bet, but not on football,” Among other things, Florenci is said to have admitted to betting on several games of chance, including roulette.
