Udinese protested the game with Atalanta because it shouldn’t have happened
Udinese announced they will appeal the outcome of their game against Atalanta where they lost 6-2, claiming it should have been postponed due to cases of coronavirus that hit them.
Atalanta triumphed in the Dacia Arena last weekend with a deafening 6-2 win over Udinese in the 21st or have to reclaim it.
This is because Udinese announced through an announcement that they would appeal the result as the game should not have taken place due to a coronavirus outbreak that hit them.
In particular, the black and whites competed without 12 of their players who tested positive for the coronavirus, the team first being quarantined by the local health authorities, but then the Italian league won the appeal it lodged in court and the quarantine was lifted, resulting in the game being played normally.
The Italian league insisted that, according to the existing protocol, since a team has 13 players born after 2003, at least one goalkeeper can play normally.
However, other quarantined teams such as Turin and Bologna have had their games postponed, with Udinese having another coronavirus-positive player who played against Atalanta claiming that breaking quarantine caused the infection to spread.
