Agnelli welcomed the decision for the European Super League with a song by U2

The decision of the Court of Justice of the European Union to uphold A22’s appeal against UEFA and FIFA’s monopoly was particularly welcomed by Andrea Agnelli, as the former Juventus president showed clear support for the European Super League.

The European Court of Justice has ruled that UEFA and FIFA should not have the right to sanction competitions between clubs, allowing Barcelona and Real Madrid to press ahead with the creation of the European Super League without having the European Football Association’s Sword of Damocles hanging over them.

At a time when most teams were quick to speak out in favor of UEFA and against the creation of the new body that could bring major changes to European football, the ESL received a friendly pat on the back from a man who caused the famous split in April had pushed forward in 2021

This is Andrea Agnelli. The former president of Juventus Turin comments on the decision of the European Court of Justice with “To the end” and quotes the lyrics from the U2 song “Where The Streets Hane No Name”, which speaks of a feeling of freedom.

“UEFA’s monopoly must be broken to give the clubs a financially stable future. A future in which clubs do not go under if they fail to qualify for European competitions.”

This is a problem for every club. With this uncertainty, it is not possible as a club to make sustainable and well-founded long-term decisions.

That’s why I’m in favor of a league system in top European football, with more financial and sporting opportunities for every club.” Agnelli told the Dutch newspaper Telegraaf after his departure from Juventus.

An incredible scene took place in the first 45 minutes of the Roma-Napoli game in which Jose Mourinho first theatrically cheered Kvaratshelias and then hugged and kissed him within ten seconds.

Incredible scene in Rome – Napoli where Jose Mourinho first chants Quaratschelia and then within ten seconds hugs, kisses and talks to him as if he were his father.

In the 37th minute of the game, the Georgian international earned a foul and a yellow card from his opponent, in a phase that took place in front of Mourinho, who insisted that there was not even a foul.

Afterwards, the Portuguese technician initially shouted at Kvaratshelias, telling him that he was just acting, but as he approached Georgianos, he hugged him, kissed him and began talking to him in a very calm tone while the two men found each other. A little later, the recording showed Mourinho having a very friendly chat with Osimen.
