Making his Roma debut was 17-year-old Greek stopper Dimitris Keramitsis, who came on as a substitute in the match against Cagliari at 90+4′ for Maitland-Niles.

17-year-old Greek centre-back Dimitris Keramitsis made his Roma debut on Sunday evening (16/01) with Jose Mourinho overtaking him with 90+4′ instead of Maitland Niles in the match on the field with Cagliari (1-0).

The many absences prompted the Portugal coach to invite players from the second team, including 17-year-old Keramitsis.

Who is Dimitris Keramitsis?

The 17-year-old Stopper took his first football steps in Thessaloniki. He played in the academies of Aris, Apollon Kalamaria and PAOK. At the age of 14 he switched to the men’s team of AMS Panorama, followed by Thermaikos Thermis and AE Krini.

At the age of 16 he decided to try his luck in Italy and Empoli, while last summer Roma decided to invest in his talent.

Dimitris Keramitsis stands out for his height of 1.93m while using both legs with the same ease. This year he has made eight appearances with Roma’s second team without being able to score.
