Milan: The awarding of the 19th Italian championship
Milan won the 19th championship in its history and the first since 2011, with the result that the awards ceremony takes place in a fantastic atmosphere and an 11-year wait comes to an end.
Milan celebrated the conquest of this year’s Scudetto and celebrated it duly at “Mapei”, after defeating Sassuolo.
The awarding of the trophy gave rise to frenetic celebrations in the stands, but also on the pitch.
One by one, a Milanese player appeared on the platform set up for the award and some in their own way, like Zlatan Ibrahimovic who came out with a cigar, or Junior Messiah with a bottle of champagne. The last… dumped the club’s manager Stefano Pioli as he emerged.
The moment of Frank Kessier’s appearance was also special. He moves to Barcelona at the end of the season and celebrated the crowning glory with a dance in front of his teammates.
Most recently, the captain of the “Rossoneri”, Alessio Romanioli, appeared, who is also retiring at the end of the season. The Italian defender raised the trophy and gave the signal for the celebrations to continue in the streets of Milan.
