Babis Lykogiannis’ Cagliari stayed 0-0 with Venezia and were relegated. Salernitana lost 4-0 to Udinese but stayed in Serie A.
Cagliari bowed out of Serie A with a 0-0 draw against Venice, who are already relegated along with Genoa. Babis Lykogiannis’ side will play in the second tier after around six years as they finished 18th with 30 points. Lykogiannis started as a key player but there was a forced substitution in the 34th minute.
Salernitana, on the other hand, used the above result to the rescue. The Salerno side lost 4-0 at home to Udinese, remaining on 31 points but finishing 17th above the relegation zone.
Udinese “cleared” the game in the first half thanks to goals from Deulofeu (6′), Nestorovski (34′) and Udogi (42′). Pereira scored the final score in the 57th minute.
