The stunning mural of Mourinho as a modern day Julius Caesar
Jose Mourinho led Roma to the Conference League and inspired an artist to do a mural in a central part of the Italian capital, with Special One holding the trophy in Julius Caesar’s hands.
Tirana’s Arena Kobetare became a field of glory for Roma after beating Feyenoord 1-0 in the Conference League final on Wednesday night, lifting their first trophy since 2008 and their first European title since 1961.
As expected, Jose Mourinho, who has managed 5-5 in European finals during his coaching career, was adored by Jalorosi fans in the final and that love was particularly evident.
This was made possible by the artist Harry Gramb, who designed a mural near the “Circo Massimo” subway station, in which the 59-year-old Portuguese, as the honoree, holds the weighty trophy of the newly founded Conference League in his hands, disguised as Julius Caesar , the legendary Roman autocrat.
