Berlusconi: “Now I want the championship with Monza and then the Champions League”
Monza owner Silvio Berlusconi said after Monza’s historic promotion to Serie A that his aim is for his team to win the league and then the Champions League.
Monza took the big step on Sunday (29/5) and got promoted to Serie A for the first time in their history by beating Pisa 4-3.
The team’s strongman, Silvio Berlusconi, is already making plans for the next day, telling Sky Sports Italia that the next goal is to win the league and then the Champions League.
“Wonderful night, we’ve been fighting all year and finally we’ve reached a historic day, a milestone for the club. In the 110 years since it was founded, Monza has never been in Serie A, today we got there. It’s a wonderful thing for us, for the team and for all the citizens of the city.
“I’m used to winning, now we have to win the league, get to the Champions League and win the Champions League.”
