They ‘desecrated’ Mourinho’s mural with the Conference League trophy
Jose Mourinho saw a mural painted in his honor in a central part of Rome after Roma conquered the Conference League, but this work of art was badly damaged in a short time.
Roma defeated Feyenoord 1-0 in the Conference League final to lift their first trophy since 2008 and their first European Cup since 1961, leading Rome fans to drink water in Jose Mourinho’s name.
In fact, the love of the special found an even more striking expression when artist Harry Gramb drew ‘Circo Massimo’ on a mural near the metro station, where the honored person was the 59-year-old Portuguese, with his heavyweight trophy, the newly formed Conference League, dressed as Julius Caesar.
The associations were of course inevitable as Mourinho was essentially associated with the legendary Roman Emperor, but the bad news is that a short time later this particular work of art was ‘desecrated’.
It has been revealed that the mural dedicated to Mourinho was damaged after Roma’s triumph in the final in Tirana, without it being known how some people got into the area unnoticed and caused the damage.
