Inter ready to date Chelsea for Lukaku return
The scenario of Romelu Lukaku returning to Inter in the form of a loan from Chelsea seems increasingly likely according to recent reports from Italy.
Chelsea paid big bucks (broke the €100m mark) to take over Romelu Lukaku from Inter last summer, making it one of the most expensive transfers in football history, but the investment didn’t pay off.
The Belgium forward failed to convince at any point of the season that he had a relationship with the burning striker who delighted fans with the Nerazzurri shirt in 2020-21 and now everyone is wondering if he was at the ‘ Stamford Bridge” and the new season, given (and) his troubled relationship with Thomas Tuchel.
According to reports from Italian media over the past few hours, the most likely scenario at this point is a new kit change for Loukakou as his months-long effort to leave London seems to be working.
Because the people of Inter seem ready to sit down at the negotiating table and discuss the possibility of the player’s withdrawal with their Chelsea counterparts, with Corriere dello Sport and Sky Sport Italia even mentioning that the appointment will be tried very soon to find the golden ratio in economics.
Chelsea want Lukaku on loan for €20m until June 2023 and only drop his financial claims if he is included in the deal and in exchange.
The player of interest for the Londoners is said to be Denzel Dumfries, however both sides have yet to agree on the financial value of the Dutch international defender, leaving the deal of Lukakos’ return to Nerazuri up in the air.
