Galliani: “Monza’s first goal is to stay”
Adriano Galliani keeps the ball low as the new Serie A season begins, making it clear that Monza, in their first season in the Oberliga in their 110-year history, has redemption as their number one goal.
Although they have only been at the helm of Monza for three years, the Berlusconi – Galliani duo brought with them the aura of victory from their long experience in Milan and the result was impressive.
The team’s promotion to Italy’s top division for the first time in its history is tangible evidence, with one of the first steps ahead of the new season being the appointment of François Modesto as technical director.
However, it should be noted that despite the great enthusiasm for promotion, the spirits of the people of Monza are not swollen, with Galliani, through a radio interview, shattering the view that Monza are not aiming to return to the second category for their first season in Serie A.
“In our first year, the goal is salvation. If I signed for first place on the right column of the scoreboard (ss 11th place)? Yes, of course.
The motto I repeat to everyone at the club is that it took us 110 years to reach Serie A. I don’t want it to only take a year to be back in Serie A.stressed the experienced agent.
