Maldini and Massara renewed themselves in… as one with Milan

Milan will continue to rely on the successful duo of Maldini and Massara for years to come, with the Rossoneri’s technician and football director working as their contracts with the club near the end of the season.

After losing much of their luster for several years and not even being able to contend for the Scudetto, Milan have bounced back and become very competitive in the last two years, resulting in last season’s league win for the first time in 11 years.

Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara have featured prominently in the Rossoneri’s performance, taking on the roles of technical director and director of football respectively, and at the end of June the hugely successful duo shook hands with the Milanese to extend their tenure.

With their contracts expiring at midnight on Thursday (6/30) and the deal not too long in coming, the teammates were sitting on hot coals (both wanting to negotiate the best possible terms for them), but they yearned for white smoke to even come in Para one out.

More precisely, less than two hours after the existing contracts expired, when Paolo Maldini left the Milanese’s offices and admitted in front of the journalists besieging him that an agreement had been reached.

“It all worked out. We extended at the last minute but we’re doing it. We’re happy to be here and we’re ready to plan for a future of more wins.

It’s time, we’re a little late, but we’ll make up for lost time. I am very happy”, said the Milan legend, with Italian media estimating that both he (signed) and Massara’s (expected) deal will run until summer 2024.

Incredibly, Mourinho, he sang it to Kvaratshelias and was hugging and kissing him within 10 seconds

An incredible scene took place in the first 45 minutes of the Roma-Napoli game in which Jose Mourinho first theatrically cheered Kvaratshelias and then hugged and kissed him within ten seconds.

Incredible scene in Rome – Napoli where Jose Mourinho first chants Quaratschelia and then within ten seconds hugs, kisses and talks to him as if he were his father.

In the 37th minute of the game, the Georgian international earned a foul and a yellow card from his opponent, in a phase that took place in front of Mourinho, who insisted that there was not even a foul.

Afterwards, the Portuguese technician initially shouted at Kvaratshelias, telling him that he was just acting, but as he approached Georgianos, he hugged him, kissed him and began talking to him in a very calm tone while the two men found each other. A little later, the recording showed Mourinho having a very friendly chat with Osimen.
