Officially in Bologna, Lykogiannis signed until 2024
Babis Lykogiannis will be a Bologna player for at least the next two years, with the 28-year-old international left-back being officially announced by the Rossoblu on Friday midday (07/01).
After four years in Sardinia with Cagliari, Babis Lykogiannis has spread his wings and is now preparing for the next step in his Serie A career.
He will do so via Bologna, with Sinisa Mihajlovic’s side able to take advantage of the 28-year-old full-back’s sacking after Cagliari’s relegation and agree a deal with him.
On Friday afternoon (July 1st) he officially announced the deal with the player without giving any information on the duration of the cooperation. The Italian news agency “Ansa” reported that his contract there will run for two years with an option to extend it for another year.
The Rossoblu will be Lykogiannis’ sixth consecutive stop after Olympiacos, Levadeiako, Ergoteli, Sturm Graz and Cagliari, with the former Cagliari midfielder becoming the seventh Greek to join ‘Renato Dall’Ara’ after Zagorakis, Mora, Kone, Christodoulopoulos changes. Oikonomou and Torosidis (all from 2004 onwards).
