Di Maria: ‘Happy to have young and high quality players like Vlahovic and Chiesa next to me’

Juventus has been one of the clubs to dominate transfer news over the last 24 hours and the same happened on Monday (7/11) when the Bianconeri announced the signing of Paul Pogba for the next four years and presented Angel Di Maria in the afternoon.

The Argentinian winger signed a one-year, €7m deal with Vecchia Signora last Friday and during his presentation he spoke about his thirst to win titles with his new team:

“My first thought was to return to Argentina, but everything changes very quickly in football. I came to Juventus to win as many titles as possible.

When a team as important as Juve is behind me for 40 days, it’s difficult or almost impossible to say no.

I replied late for family reasons, I had commitments with the Argentina national team and then I was on vacation.”first pointed out during his presentation to Angel Di Maria, who was asked to comment on Buffon’s comparison between him and Diego Maradona, saying:

“Diego is of course Diego. I have a good relationship with Buffon, he’s a fantastic person and I spoke to him on the day I signed.”
