Bennett: “Disciplinary measures and further training for Asteras – Olympiacos referees”

The President of the Central Arbitration Commission, Steve Bennett, has been appointed as the Asteras – Olympiacos referee and said there will be disciplinary action and training for some of the match officials.

The President of the Central Referees Committee, Steve Bennett, was placed on the EPO refereeing website at Asteras – Olympiacos through his official announcement and said there would be disciplinary action and training for some of the match officials.

The president of the KED is quite cautious in his statement, he does not address anyone in particular, but refers to all officials of the game and emphasizes that there will be a few more months of additional training.

Central Arbitration Committee Chairman Steve Bennett made the following statement:

“Following the match between PAE Asteras Tripoli and PAE Olympiacos, which took place on Monday 08/29/2022, the KED concluded that the overall performance of some officials of the match was unacceptable.

As a result, KED will take the appropriate internal disciplinary action and provide for more ex for a few monthsadditional education and training for these officials to ensure that the level of performance meets the requirements of the standards expected of all match officials at this level”.
