Biel is in Athens completing his transfer to Olympiakos
Pep Biel has been in Athens since Wednesday evening (31 August) to complete the Spanish midfielder’s important transfer to Olympiakos in the next few hours.
Olympiacos caused a stir in the summer with the signing of Pep Biel from Copenhagen. The 25-year-old Spanish midfielder arrived in Athens on Wednesday evening (31 August).
The Spain midfielder is expected to pass medical and ergometry tests on Thursday before signing his contract at Olympiacos and the official announcements are to come.
This year, when the league begins in Denmark on July 17, he has started with five goals and three assists in all seven of Copenhagen’s games. The Spaniard also played a key role in the doubles encounter with Trabzonspor that earned the Danes a ticket to the Champions League group.
Overall, Biel has 128 appearances, 32 goals and 28 assists in the Copenhagen shirt in all competitions, while he scored in both meetings with PAOK in the Conference League group last year.
The Danish team acquired the Spanish forward for €5,000,000 from Zaragoza in the summer of 2019, while the footballer previously played for Mallorca second-team, Rayo Vallecano second-team, Almudevar and Deportivo Aragon.
