Wi-Jo can solve Olympiakos’ points problem
Charlie writes about Ui-Jo who has the goal and direct execution who was Kombouare’s first target, Zakarian and can solve Olympiakos’ goal problem.
Olympiacos were stuck 0-0 in Tripoli in a game that brought back the pathogens we’ve been seeing since the beginning of the summer.
Again a passive reaction in central defence, at the stage when Asteras scored and the goal was annulled. He had very slow development from defense for another game, he got no offensive help from the ends of the attack and Arabi continued to waste and appear slow in execution in the final.
A positive message comes from Huang’s performance at number 8
On a positive note, Korea’s Huang was very good in the third game he started, helping the ball go right in many areas. It’s also hopeful for the immediate future for the team, having shown they can make a difference even from 8th place.
You see, Corberan needs to make sure that Embilla and Kunte’s heavy duo is broken, giving the team a freshness, an extra energy from below for the rest of the team to follow.
There are times in football when the coaches see the problem, they try to solve it, but the squad and the situation of the players don’t allow it.
Corberan did everything in his power to improve his team’s formation
The Spanish manager tried to correct some of his team’s bad texts. He broke the duo Embilla, Kunde, dropped Huang lower, made Zinkernagel play on the axis, played with two pure wingers.
Koriatis did a very good job, taking the ball from deep and Themis wrote a lengthy text about his offer.
But the Dane was also heavy on the axis and didn’t help the attacking trio any further, and Radjelovic on the right was a bit too much for the ‘wishes’ of the game. Asteras played a tight 4-4-2 and didn’t find the spaces, the two wingers had to create them, which Radjelovic in particular didn’t succeed in doing.
The case of Arabi
Olympiacos defended better during the game than in previous games, Huang was in control and especially in the second half he distributed the game correctly, but the Spanish coach is missing a lot of things for his team to reach the point where they manage want and the people.
But Olympiacos could have won one more game at the limit if Arabi had been more effective. The Moroccan has offered a lot to Olympiakos but it’s clear the years have started to take their toll.
He rotates his body much more slowly during execution, which plays into the end results.
Wi-Jo has a knack for goals
In any case, it goes without saying that support is needed. In the last part of the game Corberan threw Korean striker Ui-Jo onto the pitch. Of course, he did not come to the slightest conclusion, the ball did not reach him.
He has left a positive impression on me since his three years in Bordeaux. The fact that he scored 11 goals last year in a struggling, bottom-placed side shows just how much of a goal-scoring attraction he has.
Wi-Jo scored 11 goals last year, up from 12 last year and six in the first year of their presence.
He was the first goal of Nantes and Brest
He has the ability to score personal goals. He’s not a random attacker. He belongs to the champions level and several teams wanted to take advantage of Bordeaux’s fall and had him in their plans for a main striker.
Brest made an official offer to Bordeaux, first at €3.5m and then at €5m, eventually taking over Slimani. To understand what level they give him in the country where he played for three years, Wi-Jo was the first choice and because they failed to get him, they went to Slimani. Olympiacos’ rivals, Nantes, also fought for him.
One of the reasons – not the only one – behind the falling out between Kombouire and Nantes owner Valdemar Kita is that he is yet to get him a striker. First on his list was Whi-Jo.
In fact, before the Korean striker’s closure at Nottingham, it was written that there was a €5m deal between Nantes and neighboring Bordeaux.
In short, Olympiacos acquired a forward who was viewed favorably by the teams that saw him in the league in which he played and notable coaches Zakrayan from Brest and Compoiret from Nantes pressured management to take him on. He made a positive impression, scoring 23 goals in two years, playing in a sick team that went unbeaten in their sophomore year.
He scores difficult goals, even outside the penalty area
The most positive aspect of Ui-Jo is that he sees a hearth. He has serious conversion skills and has scored many goals himself.
He often tests his feet and scores difficult goals, even outside the box. Bordeaux suffered in most games last year and the Korean striker had to leave the penalty area and ask for the ball. He has scored very nice goals from long-range and has a very good long-distance execution.
Immediate execution
In the three years he played at Bordeaux, he scored 29 goals, seven of them outside the box. He has scored four goals from free kicks and three with penalty. Of the 29 goals, 18 were right-footed, four left-footed and seven with the head.
Its greatest asset is its instant execution and its ability to create execution for itself. Playing in a side like Bordeaux that weren’t doing well, he had to try and use every moment to threaten.
In his three years in Bordeaux he had 2.2 executions every 90 minutes, 0.6 from outside the area. He attempted 1.7 dribbles, only 0.7 were successful. In aerial duels he is not particularly effective, in 2.5 duels in 90 minutes he gives out the winner in 0.7. However, the fact that he has scored seven goals with his head in his three years at Bordeaux shows his goalscoring ability.
His ability to find spaces to run in and fluency in scoring are his main attributes
It’s not easy to be successful 11 goals to a team that ended up in last place. His marksmanship was appreciated by Zakarian and Kombouare and they wanted to make him theirs.
Logic says he can help Olympiacos solve the efficiency problem in the final execution created by the fall of Arabi.
