PAE Ionikos announce the loan of Nates Vidmar from Olympia Ljubljana.
Nates Vidmar is 33 years old and plays as a goalkeeper. Vidmar was born in Ljubljana on March 31, 1989 and started his career at Domzale. In 2009, at the age of 20, he joined the men’s team and signed a professional contract.
He played with the Domzale jersey for seven years, recording 206 appearances and conceding 85 goals. In January 2016 he joined Olympia Ljubljana and in the last six years he has counted 114 matches, 39 of which he has not touched home.
Vidmar is international with Slovenia’s minor national teams while he has been called up to the men’s national team 23 times without playing. He was unlucky to be overshadowed by two of the best goalkeepers to play in the last 20 years, Samir Hadanovic with a great Inter career and Jan Oblak of Atletico Madrid.
This season and before joining Ionikos, he made 23 appearances in all competitions with the Olympia Ljubljana shirt.
Today Dennis Vidmar had his first training session with his new teammates at Ionikos”.
