Sheik Doukoure explained that the derby with PAOK came at the right time for Aris as it was a good opportunity to restart and build a winning streak after losing to Panaitolikos.

Sheik Doukoure in his statements to NOVA before Aris with PAOK (04/09, 21:30, NOVA SPORTS Prime and Live Sportish) in Kleanthis Vikelidis, emphasized that the change of coach hadn’t bothered the Yellows in preparation, but he knew how important the derby was and had conveyed it to his team-mates.

In detail what Ducouret told NOVA: About how they prepared for the derby with PAOK: “It was a different week, we had a coaching change. For us, everyday life has not changed, we have continued our work. Our thoughts were only on the game. We adapted to the new conditions, we couldn’t help it, now our heads are in the game“.

For the changes Terzis tried to bring to the team: “The week was no different than the previous ones. Mr. Terzis knows us and we know him. We watched a video of the opponent and analyzed him, we did our preparation with some variations, but the week went roughly along the same pattern as the previous ones“.

About how the derby awaits us: “I was lucky enough to experience these games twice last year. I scored a goal in one of them. I know how important games are. Both teams have some new faces. It’s a very important game. We’re waiting for it with the goal of winning. It comes at the right time as it is an opportunity to get back on track and build a winning streak“.

About being in the starting XI this season and what he taught his team-mates for the derby: “Me and those who were there last year and have experience of these games talk to our teammates about this derby. We explain to them the importance of the game for the team and Thessaloniki. They are smart children, they will not have any problems and adapt quickly“.
