According to the Italians, Spezia wants Botto as sports director
The name of PAOK’s Portuguese sporting director Jose Boto has resurfaced as a target for the Italian club, according to tuttomercatoweb.
According to a publication in Italy, Spezia, who had been interested in Jose Botto since April last year, is re-examining his case.
As tuttomercatoweb reports, the name of the Portuguese can be heard in Spezia after Riccardo Pecini was dismissed. The Italians report that PAOK’s sporting director fits the profile that its owners, who have opted for a solution from abroad, are looking for and how he could become Pecini’s successor.
It’s not the first time such reports have surfaced about José Boto since he took up his post at Dikefalo. However, it is the first time another team’s interest in the Portuguese has been reported after PAOK’s crisis arose from their early European exclusion.
