On Van Wert the number nine shirt by AEK
Van Wert is an AEK player for the next two years, with the Dutch centre-forward playing in defense with the number 9 previously vacant and awaiting pick for the forward position.
As of Wednesday afternoon (September 7th), Van Wert is officially the penultimate transfer acquisition from AEK and has signed a two-year contract.
The Dutch center forward was in spata, underwent medical and ergometric tests, and then posed in his new jersey with the number nine on the back, which was vacant until now, awaiting the chosen one for the forward position.
Last year Levi Garcia competed with the ‘9’ on his back but this year he left it to get the ‘7’ and thus the ‘9’ was left vacant, basically waiting for the center forward to take on the Union would. This is Van Wert posing proudly in the AEK dressing room.
