A blow to AEK: Tzuber is dejected, losing derby with Panathinaikos
Steven Zuber couldn’t avoid damage to his right bicep as the tests he underwent showed he sustained a contusion and fatal knockout for the Avenue. Vida returned to the team’s program, first training session for Van Wert.
The news was uncomfortable at today’s (8/9) AEK training session as Steven Zuber has suffered a bruised right bicep and will miss the derby with Panathinaikos at Leoforos on the fourth day of the Super League and his condition will be reassessed daily.
Instead, Vida trained normally and made himself available to Matias Almeida for the derby, while Tom Van Wert also trained with the yellow-blacks for the first time.
From then on, Theodosis Macheiras trained individually again, while all other players took part in the training program as usual. The Union’s preparation for the Athens derby continues at 09:00 with training in Spata.
