Marcelo is aiming for the games with Atromito and Qarabag
Marcelo has followed an intense individual program in the last twenty-four hours at Rentis and will be ready after the suspension of the championship due to national team commitments in the last ten days of September.
Marcelo picks up the pace at Rendis every day, following a two-hour individual program with the aim of being ready for Olympiakos games in the last ten days of the month, immediately after the Super League break.
The Brazilian defender has been training in the gym but also with the ball on the main pitch at the Piraeus team’s training facilities and is looking forward to his return to action.
According to the data so far, the experienced footballer is available for Olympiakos home games against Atromitos (1/10) and Qarabag (6/10).
Unless there is an upset and Carlos Corberan includes the Brazilian in the squad for the away game against Aris (18/9), which doesn’t seem likely at the moment given the yellow-blacks’ game is only ten days away.
Logically, Marcelo’s debut in the red and white striped shirt will come in front of the Olympiakos friends, either in the match against Atromitos or against Karabagh in Karaiskakis in early October.
It is recalled that the Brazilian star’s last official game with Real was on May 20, 2022 in the La Liga final against Betis.
