AEK: “The region gave 20 and not 35 million for the OPAP arena”
AEK responded to the Attica Region’s announcement that it was allocated 20 million, not 35 million, to build the OPAP Arena.
The Attica Region noted in a social media post that it has committed €35 million to the OPAP Arena and accompanying projects in the N. Philadelphia – Chalkidona community.
A day later, AEK commented on the matter, stating that such an amount had never been given and claiming that the money received was 20 million euros.
As the Union emphasized, the costs for the accompanying projects, with which the yellow-black PAE had nothing to do, were apparently added to the 35 million. It is money that, as AEK points out, were made available in their entirety to the bodies involved in the construction through tenders.
According to the Union, the total cost of the OPAP Arena was 75 million euros. This amount does not include the costs of the two museums, for which six million euros were made available.
