PAS Ioannina announced striker Claudio Balan

PAS Ioannina have extended their transfer window to look for a striker after Pedro Conte’s injury. Epirotes finally announced the acquisition of Claudio Christian Balan.

The 28-year-old Romanian striker has signed a two-year contract with Epirotes. He was released by Universitatea Craiova on September 5.

“PAEPAS GIANNINA 1966 announces the start of a collaboration with striker Claudio Christian Balan for the next two years.

The 28-year-old forward was born in Craiova, Romania on June 22, 1994 and started his career in 1948 with FC U Craiova. In 2013 he made the step up to the first team where he scored 2 goals in 18 appearances before moving to the second team of Universitatea Craiova who scored one goal in 10 games.

The next stop in his career was Mioveni in the 2014/15 season, where he scored two goals in eight games. Slatina (1 goal in 10 games), Podari (5 goals in 12 games), Filiasi (2 goals in 12 games) followed to return to FC U Craiova 1948 in August 2017, where he played until a few days ago. At FC U Craiova 1948 he spent the best years of his career scoring 49 goals in 87 appearances in all competitions.
