Reabchuk: “Olympiacos is the right choice”
Olympiakos Olympiakos full-back Oleg Reabcuk referred to his move to the Red-Whites in an interview in Portugal, which he feels was the right choice.
Oleg Reabchuk gave an interview to the Portuguese website zeroozero.pt, in which he mentioned, among other things, his choice to go to Olympiakos instead of Porto, but also his experiences in Greece.
The Moldovan winger feels vindicated in his choice as a year after joining the Red and Whites he feels he made the right choice last season.
For his decision to choose Olympiakos over Porto: “Porto had the right of priority, I had the choice to go to Olympiakos in January or to go to Porto in the summer. I analyzed it well, with the representatives, the family and my own feelings. And I felt like the people at Olympiakos wanted to bet more on me. I felt that confidence and I think it was the right choice“.
Whether it was an easy decision: “Of course it’s not an easy decision. But at that moment I couldn’t think with my heart. It would be easier to stay in Porto, closer to home. But football passes quickly, we can’t just think about comfort, we have to think professionally. I felt like it was going to be more of a bet here and I made the decision I had to make“.
For his future: “I’m in a club where I have all the requirements to be healthy and happy. I’m far from thinking I’m at the highest point I want to be, but I’m not beating my head with what it could be. “I’m thinking about playing and being healthy.”.
For his first season at Olympiakos: “Eis a very positive balance. I managed to make my debut in European competitions, I was champion and we reached the cup final. This year we are doing well in the championship and have reached the Europa League playoffs. “I think we’re within the targets that we set ourselves.”
