Alan Pardew in Thessaloniki takes over Aris
Alan Pardiou, who will take over the technical management of Aris, has been in Thessaloniki since midday on Wednesday (September 14). What he said upon arrival at Macedonia Airport.
Alan Pardew arrived in Thessaloniki on Wednesday (14/9) to finalize his agreement with Aris and take charge of the technical team.
The 61-year-old English technician who will replace Herman Burgos has already reached a verbal agreement with Aris and, barring unforeseen circumstances, will start work immediately.
“Proud to be here‘ Pardew said upon arrival, adding: ‘I’ve seen the team, I have my own philosophy. I look ahead, the challenge. I’ll meet the boys later today. I will pass my wishes on to the team. I already know some guys. I don’t want to say much. We have to work and get results. At this stage there isn’t much I can do about it, but little by little I will make my own interventions.“
Pardew started his career at Reading and has extensive UK stadium experience, having worked at West Ham, Charlton, Southampton, Newcastle, Crystal Palace, West Brom and De Haag in the Netherlands. His last station was CSKA Sofia. He even had Bradley Mazikou with him as a player.
In England, he won the manager of the year title with Newcastle when he managed to bring them to Europe after their return to the Premier League.
