Olympiacos transfers: Critical times for taking on a midfielder
The Reds are in advanced contact to land a central midfielder and Tiemoue Bakayoko and Luka Milivojevic have been kept in mind, according to reports from abroad. At the moment, Paytim Kasami has been in Greece since last Sunday, awaiting Olympiakos’ decision.
Intense transfer activity at Olympiakos, with of course the imminent loan of James Rodríguez from Al Rayyan at the helm in the last few hours, but the Red and Whites are looking for further reinforcements in the central midfield positions.
The Bakayoko case
Piraeus PAE tried to sign Tiemoue Bakayoko from Chelsea on the last day of August, breaking his loan deal from AC Milan which fell through at the last minute. However, the French defensive midfielder, originally from Ivory Coast, remained in the interest of Olympiacos.
Information in the last twenty-four hours leads the Red and Whites to have once again searched for the legal formula that could allow them to acquire the 28-year-old footballer who appears to be positive about his move to Olympiacos.

At the same time, information from England in the last few hours shows that the red-whites have once again scouted out the intentions of Luka Milivojevic and Crystal Palace. That means that Olympiacos will take on either the French or the Serbian footballer.
It must be emphasized that nothing is said about the Piraeus PAE for either Bakayoko or Milivojevic and that the information comes from abroad. In any case, these are two cases that will be resolved immediately as the two players are contractually bound and the transfers to Greece will be finalized on September 15.
….and Kasami
As for Kasami, he’s waiting for Olympiakos to decide whether to invite him to sign as the player is keen to return to the Piraeus club.
At the same time, the possibility of getting a goalkeeper in the next 24 hours remains open.
