Palma promised his mother a goal against Olympiakos for her birthday and he got it
Luis Palma scored the winning goal for Aris against Olympiakos, which the 22-year-old winger had promised his mother as a birthday present a day earlier.
Aris defeated Olympiakos 2-1 with an upset by Kleanthis Vikelidis. Luis Palma scored the winning goal in the 80th minute of the game against the Red and Whites.
In fact, this goal was no accident. The 22-year-old winger had promised his mother as a birthday present the day before.
Palma posted a photo of the conversation between them on his Twitter account: “I love you, enjoy your day. I hope to score a goal tomorrow to give you a gift.” he wrote to her and she replied: “I love you, My life”.
Eventually he succeeded and he dedicated it to his mother.
