PAOK players return to training and prepare for derby with Panathinaikos
Razvan Lucescu and his players return to training and start preparations for PAOK’s derby against Panathinaikos in Toumba.
Razvan Lucescu gave his players the opportunity to rest and is expecting them today (09/22) after the three-day break for training at the Nea Mesimbria facilities.
The Romanian coach has around ten days to work with the footballers, who have no national team commitments, ahead of the Panathinaikos derby and the difficult schedule that follows in October.
Lucescu publicly emphasized that he is particularly worried about the fact that PAOK didn’t win a single game last season after the league was suspended, which cost the team a lot.
So after the first break this year, he will try to turn things around and ensure his side return competitively to their commitments and the derby with the Greens.
Before the game against OFI, Loutsescu had no other problems apart from the long-term injured Giannis Michailidis. The forced substitutions of Vieirania and Douglas Augusto in the Heraklion game did not cause concern but the two footballers will be examined by Dikefalo medical staff today.
On Sunday, PAOK will also play a friendly game against Panserraikos, which, like the previous games in Thessaloniki in the summer, is of a training nature, i.e. it will be played without the presence of fans and representatives of the press.
