Lala’s activation with Mitchell and Anigo’s blessings
Mitchell and Olympiacos’ new football director Jose Anigo have reportedly decided to activate Lala, who is now a regular at the Red-Whites’ training sessions.
The way “hot” – “cold” and “hot” again in the last few months in things Kenny Lala and his presence at Olympiakos is impressive. The French right-back returned to the Reds and Whites on Wednesday (21/9) as he says he was reactivated with the approval of Mitchell and new technical director Jose Anigo.
By the start of the summer, Lala had been dropped from Pedro Martins’ plans, training with the ‘cuts’ at Rendis and up for sale.
He stayed out of first-team training and in the presence of Carlos Corberan. At the end of August, since he wasn’t sold and has a large contract (€900,000 a year), the thought of returning came up and so he trained at Olympiacos B and also played in the friendly with Herodotus.
Now, according to the information, the new Piraeus team coach Mitchell and the new football director Jose Anigo have spoken and decided on the activation of Lala, who now regularly attends the training sessions.
It is possible that the return of the French footballer has something to do with the muscle injury and the absence of Vrsalikos from several games in the previous weeks, in addition to an extra solution on the right side of defence.
Perhaps Mitchell also thinks that the Croatian can provide assists and can therefore be used in the center of defense at times. It remains to be seen when it will be time for official games again.
