Speaking in his hometown about his first few months at Toumba, young PAOK goalkeeper Dominik Kotarski noted his team needed time.

Dominik Kotarski takes part in the tasks of the Croatian national team and spoke to his compatriots about his impressions of PAOK.

The young goalkeeper admitted he was interested by Dinamo Zagreb in the summer but preferred the prospect Dikefalos gave him.

What he said in detail:

To customize:

“I did well at PAOK. I’m satisfied. I enjoy Thessaloniki, Greece is a wonderful country to live in, Thessaloniki is a beautiful city, the club is wonderful. Everything is really perfect. And what’s most important for football, my story is the fact that I’m always a starter. PAOK have built a new team and they’re doing quite well at the beginning of the season. I hope we can continue positively.”

This year’s goals:

“It’s too early to talk about it now. The season has just started. Of course, our fans want big things from us, they hope for wins, successes. It’s normal for PAOK to have ambitions. I wouldn’t go to Thessaloniki then. ” “The club didn’t have any ambitions. I want to fight for trophies. But I want to emphasize that this season my club decided to create a new team. We have quite a new team with a lot of young players. The squad is really renewed. It’s going to take some time before we all click together as best we can, time will tell.”

For exclusion from Europe:

“It was a very big shock for us, we didn’t expect it. But this elimination happened exactly because of what I was talking about. We’re a young team, it showed in those two games against the Bulgarians. It was quite painful.” , but we kept our heads up, we didn’t go under, we kept going, we pulled ourselves together, we agreed to think more about it, focus on one game at a time, try to get points and here we are in second place at the moment. We all believe that because we have quality, we are ready for greatness. But time will tell, everything will tell. I don’t want to make any predictions at the beginning of the season, but yes, we have ambitions.”

For the atmosphere in Toumba:

“There’s madness in the stands. It’s hard to even describe. You have to live it, feel the atmosphere, it’s great. Before I came to PAOK, I knew what passionate fans this club has, what kind of Support he has but it’s different when you come and live it. It’s a special experience, it’s a pleasure to play in front of fans like ours. I made a great step by joining PAOK “Exactly in all the pieces, and of course the most important thing is that I play all the time. It was a big step forward for me. Compared to Gorica, it’s a very big step up. I believe in myself, I have Confidence, I’m happy.”
