Amrabat showed Giannikis another way
Because Nordin Amrabat seems to be the most dominant midfielder who will play for the cup against PAOK next Wednesday (February 9th).
Today (July 2nd) there was another training session without Petros Mandalos and now the chances of reaching the quarter-finals on Wednesday (September 2nd, COSMOTE SPORT 1 HD, LIVE Sportish) against PAOK are slim.
Also, it has been corrupted, so even if it “fits” into the mission, it won’t go into the original scheme. An automatic issue arises when judging by Darko Gevtic’s image in the match with Apollo that wasn’t satisfying enough.
However, the solution to the problem seemed to be able to give the role of midfielder Nordin Amrabat. Called up to play around 35 minutes behind Araouchos, he gave AEK the momentum, creation and substance it needed to keep from getting in trouble again.
He set up Chuber’s goal, took initiatives and, with his energetic and dynamic play, helped Union to develop a more functional image in the latter part of the game.
Although more things are required in games like on Wednesday than the sophisticated game of Gevtic, who sweetens the offensive efforts of AEK with his excellent vertical passes, but overall, albeit characterized by moments of difference compared to other media, is not noticeable for the required duration.
Amrabat’s personality and the time for the decisive meeting
The Moroccan midfielder, on the other hand, plays permanently with the “Reds”. He lives the game with passion, he doesn’t accept losing duels that easily, he fights with stubbornness, strength and the belief that he is superior to everyone on the field at the same time.
Maybe that leads him to polished individual performances in some cases, but there are also moments when his class makes the difference.
From last summer to today, the debate about when (finally) Chuber, Amrabat and Garcia will start together has been going on, especially in a game that has a special meaning, like the day after tomorrow. A game with no next tag for AEK in the event of exclusion as it will bid farewell to the last existing goal for this year.
Significantly, the only time the three started together was recorded on September 19, 2021 with coach Vladan Milojevic and lasted (only) 38 minutes, by which time Livai Garcia was ruled out of the game with OFI Crete , which ended in a 3-3 draw.
It was one of the many obstacles that stood in the way of living together, as all three had a number of injuries that also prevented it.
Now the most likely scenario is that all 3 start against PAOK. That’s why they were brought in in the endgame, not to keep you safe on the bench, in the logic that there should be a game changer if things don’t go your way. This plan worked, but beneficially, so it’s time to get rid of it.
