In his statements before the game between Olympiakos and Atromitos (October 2nd, 4:00 p.m., COSMOTE SPORT 1, LIVE Sportish), Mitchell referred to his second debut on the red and white bench.

Olympiacos welcomes Atromitos (10.02., 4 p.m., COSMOTE SPORT 1, LIVE Sportish) for the 6th matchday of the Super League. In his statements to COSMOTE, Mitchell referred to his second term as prime minister on the red-white bench, but also to his decisions regarding the squad.

Mitchell’s statements:

For his second debut on the Olympiakos bench:

“I feel a lot better than I did then because I know everyone here now. I know the atmosphere very well. I know how much people love me here, so I feel a lot of responsibility as Olympiacos coach.”

How to expect Olympiakos vs Atromitos:

“Expect an Olympiacos as it should always be. Firstly, we will respect the opponent as we always do, whoever they are. Secondly, we will prove who Olympiacos is. We all have a great responsibility in this team. ”

Olympiacos has not achieved it in Greece and in Europe by waiting for others to give him ‘gifts’. He fought and won it all. We will continue to do so with humility and the utmost respect for all.”

Whether he’s settled on the 24 players he wants in the squad:

“We are working really really well on this part. We decided to give a chance to many footballers who really surprised us in a positive way and are doing very well.

This is how we will make our decisions to work with different footballers in each game. The footballers have shown that they respect all my decisions and are committed. We have to appreciate that.”

For the absences in central defence:

“We have two central defenders at the moment that we can rely on, but we also have the academy players. It’s nothing new and it shouldn’t surprise you that I enjoy working with academy players.”
