The influential Kaled Narey carries almost all of the weight in PAOK’s standings
Kaled Narey carries almost all of the weight in PAOK’s standings and is a key contributor to the points PAOK accumulates in the championship.
PAOK people spent a lot of time with Kaled Narey last summer. The German was their first choice to reinforce the wing of the two-headed attack and they stuck with it to the end.
Even though Fortuna Dusseldorf prevailed in the poker for his transfer, as their demands were largely met in the end, PAOK paid to bring a footballer to Thessaloniki who in practice proves to be very important for their offensive function
Narei is PAOK’s most reliable offensive solution so far in this year’s championship, while also being the most influential overall.
The German who is involved in 70% of goals scored by PAOK with three of his team’s seven goals in the league along with the two assists he recorded.
Bottom line, it was Narey’s goals and assists that gave PAOK 11 of their 12 points in the standings. In the two games in which the 28-year-old winger had neither a goal nor an assist, PAOK drew 0-0 with Aris in Kl. Vikelidis and lost to Panathinaikos in Toumba.
With his own assist for Brandon Thomas, PAOK beat Panaitolikos in Toumba in the league premiere. It was he who scored the winning goal in the last minute of added time on the following matchday against Atromitos, who had equalized a little earlier.
Narei’s assist for Kurtic gave PAOK the three points against Lamia in their most recent league win.
Kaled Narey is the only Dikefalo footballer to score outside of Toumba this year, but the goals he scored in Heraklion against OFI and on Sunday (9/10) in Livadia weren’t enough to give his team victory grant. As in both cases, PAOK equalized in added time.
What is certain is that Narey just doesn’t make it into Razvan Lucescu’s side, who continue to create chances but also miss them. PAOK appears to be problematic at the end of the phases and you can see that from the fact that in addition to the German, Kurtic (twice), Oliveira and Brandon Thomas also celebrated goals.
