Martins: “The game against AEK is different from the game against Atalanta”
In his statements on the Olympiacos game against AEK (February 13, 7.30 p.m., NOVASPORTS PRIME, LIVE Sportish), Pedro Martins emphasized that he would prepare his team differently compared to Atalanta.
Olympiakos welcomes AEK (February 13, 7:30 p.m., NOVASPORTS PRIME, LIVE Sportish) for the 23rd game of the Super League Interwetten in Karaiskakis. Pedro Martins spoke to NOVA ahead of the game and underlined the difficulties of the game against Union.
He stressed that Sunday’s match would be completely different from the game against Atalanta (17/02, 10:00 p.m., COSMOTE SPORT 2HD, LIVE Sportish) for the Europa League, while explaining that apart from Gary Rodróguez, there were no injury problems.
The statements of Martins in detail:
For the match with AEK and the fact that she’s injured: “Whatever the circumstances, if you play with AEK, you know you’re going to play a difficult game. There’s quality in this team, they’re a competitive opponent who have risks. We don’t look at what’s in the recent results. What We’re looking at, it’s a team that’s traditionally difficult, we’re looking at our own position, we want to play well, we’re playing in Karaiskakis and we’re going to win, not just because of the difference in points, but also to move towards our goal of doing good. We saw that AEK made it difficult for PAOK and other opponents it played against. We expect a competitive, strong AEK, as always the case. We have to look at what we’re going to do regardless of the circumstances. We have to be well prepared and careful.”
Whether it will be a dress rehearsal for Atalanta in terms of options: “These are not completely different games, we will prepare them completely differently. The Europa League games have nothing to do with the Greek league games. First, let’s see what we’re going to do against AEK. Which players are there.” best condition and they will play no matter who plays against Atalanta”.
If there are problems: “Everyone else is fine except for Gary. There are some who are a bit tired from the Wednesday game. The team is fine with the exception of Gary Rodr.guez.”
