First training session for Michaelidis after his serious injury
Giannis Michailidis trained normally with the other team-mates for the first time after his serious knee injury.
PAOK’s preparation for the game against Asteras Tripolis in Toumba started with high spirits for the Dikephalos footballers after defeating Olympiakos in “Karaiskakis”.
The smiles at Nea Mesimvria grew even bigger as Giannis Michailidis took out the entire regular training schedule and showed he’s put the knee injury behind him.
“The big win that PAOK was aiming for came in the derby at Georgios Karaiskakis and everyone in the Dikefalos camp wants to continue that winning streak. The way to do this is through hard work and absolute concentration.
The double in Piraeus, in addition to the valuable points, improved everyone’s psyche and now attention is focused on the upcoming game of Toumba against Asteras Tripolis (23.10., 19:30).
The preparation started on Wednesday afternoon (19.10) in Nea Mesimvria. Those who started the derby underwent a recovery and rehabilitation programme.
The rest went out with the coaches and after warming up and a couple of rondo games, they worked on the tactical area while also playing a double header in the final.
No injury problems arose from the ‘battle’ with Olympiakos, while, on the good news of the day, Yiannis Michaelidis was training normally with the team for the first time after suffering a serious knee injury.
Brandon Thomas trained individually on the field while Andre Vieirania did therapy and exercises in the pool.
On Thursday (10/20) PAOK will train at 10:30 a.m. in Nea Mesimvria.”reports the Dikefalo newsletter.
