Leipzig and Lazio will see Levia Garcia up close in AEK – PAOK
The efficiency of Levi Garcia’s transfer at the forefront of AEK’s attack is also underscored by the attention the 25-year-old ace is attracting. Scouts from Leipzig and Lazio Rome are expected to be there for him in Sunday’s derby at the OPAP Arena.
It is no longer news that scouting is constant and continuous from the highest European level for Konstantinos Koulierakis. However, the 19-year-old centre-back is slowly joining the list of footballers being watched internationally by the Super League.
In Sunday’s OPAP Arena derby, where AEK welcomes PAOK, he won’t be the only one bringing crowds to the stands as scouts also arrive for Levi Garcia.
His move – after Matias Almeida’s decision – to the forward role is efficient not only for the Union, the 25-year-old forward is the league’s top scorer with five goals, but obviously also for him who started this year , who at playing top offense is having the most productive start to the season of his career.
And predictably, it draws looks and attention. Not that it’s the first time since last summer Wolfsburg had submitted an offer of 7 million euros for his purchasebut without being accepted by AEK.
But now the context is different as he is now observed as an attacker active in the “box” and not on the wings.
So on Sunday afternoon ambassadors from Leipzig and Lazio came to see him in New Philadelphia.
They won’t be the only ones – Benfica have had a firm grip on him since last year, as has Koulierakis, for whom these appearances are obviously also a way to broaden his circle of prospects – but they are one of the first to consider him as a striker, underlining them the momentum that Garcia is clearly developing in his new role at AEK.
