AEK released VIDEO of fans violating turnstiles: ‘We will not allow such phenomena to be repeated’
AEK released a VIDEO from the closed security circuit of the OPAP arena and complained about damage to Union property. He clarifies that those who carry out such actions are not part of the club’s family.
AEK proceeded to release a VIDEO from the closed security circuit of the OPAP arena. It shows a group of fans forcibly opening the turnstiles to enter without a ticket.
The Union condemns the vandalism and damage to the stadium facilities. It’s worth noting that the image, which comes from the closed security loop, is processed in a way that makes it impossible to identify the individuals, with AEK pointing out “in that case”.
AEK’s contribution in detail:
“Starting September 30, 2022, the entire AEK family will be proud of OUR new HOME, OUR temple in New Philadelphia. The vast majority of our fans express this with the respect they deserve for our new jewel.
Unfortunately, a very small number of people show respect neither to the stadium nor to AEK nor to the fans of our team. It is with great regret that we are forced today to publicly highlight this issue.
PAE AEK, with a sense of responsibility to the vast majority of our fans, invites these people for the final time to show due respect to OUR HOME, the home of AEK in New Philadelphia, and to our team itself.
It goes without saying, as can be seen in the video we cite here edited by us, that all acts of destruction of AEK property are recorded by closed circuit security, which is mandatory to operate in all stadiums, for use by the competent authorities authorities. So anyone who thinks they can hide and destroy the property of the people of AEK with impunity is clearly making a huge mistake.
The message we want to convey is absolutely clear and we are sure that everyone at least understands their moral obligation to protect the Unitarian Temple. Every one of our home games should be a celebration. The people at AEK also demand this. There is a way to isolate and permanently remove from the stadium those who do not respect AEK and its employees’ property.
With a sense of responsibility, PAE makes it clear to AEK that it will not allow such phenomena to be repeated. Those who destroy our stadium are not part of the AEK family. All AEK fans who have responded in a massive and exemplary manner to the historical and unique moments we are experiencing in OUR HOME feel the same sadness and anger at these phenomena. And they will do everything on their part to isolate and remove those who do not respect the sanctuaries and allegiances of our great association.
The first big game of the new era in OUR HOME will be what it deserves and befits the rich history of AEK, the beginnings of our fans and the size of OUR stadium!”.
