Norkping’s door is open again to Franson
Alexander Fransson hasn’t found a role or time at AEK, but in Norrkoping, where he has spent seven years of his career, the 28-year-old Swede is in demand for a permanent transfer after accepting a different approach.
The addition of Alexander Franson to AEK came at the end of last year’s winter transfer window. A move that ultimately turned out to be of little help, as the Sweden midfielder in the yellow and black jersey needed 23 minutes in three games.
He played one in the rest of last season, in Toumba against PAOK, two so far this season, in the Premiership final in Lamia and in his longest participation (at 16 minutes) in the cup game against Atromitos.
It can be assumed that the Sweden midfielder is at the end of his midfield rotation Matthew AlmeidaEven more certain is the possibility that there is no mutual willingness to extend Franson’s stay at AEK after the summer when his contract ends.
A chance, certainly where he is better known than elsewhere, in Norrkoping, where he started his professional career and where he joined the Union last year (having completed his second term there), for a fresh start. Another, to be precise, since last summer an attempt was also made, but without any effect for the Swedish club.
According to Sweden, Norrköping, whose sporting director is Fransson’s uncle, has again speculated about the 28-year-old midfielder’s intentions and even put a three-year deal on the table.
Whenever and whenever he decides. Either as a free agent next summer (the current Swedish league ends next week, the next one starts in April) or as… a free agent in the upcoming transfer window.
Something Franson himself would have to “cause” to do this and ask for an early release from AEK and apparently the Yellow Blacks staff to accept this and release the Swede as it is clear that everything is possible is different, paying any price in January from Norrköping is not foreseen and is not included in the package offered for Fransson
