Mitchell: ‘Panathinaikos knows it’s always difficult to face Olympiakos’
In his statements after Olympiakos’ victory over Lamia, Mitchell referred to the derby with Panathinaikos that will follow next week (November 6, 7:30 p.m.).
Olympiacos beat Lamia 2-0 a week before the eternal derby (6/11, 19:30). Mitchell mentioned the Red-Whites’ win and the game against Panathinaikos that followed.
Mitchell’s statements:
For the game: “Today we had to win the match and play well. At least we did that in the first 45 minutes. At the end we ran out of air a bit.
The good thing is that we didn’t concede a goal and players played the way they should play, like James and Marcelo. If I could ask for anything, it would be the third goal to seal the game.”
On the fact that Olympiacos fans were demanding a win against Panathinaikos: “Me too. We want to do our job, we’re preparing well. Panathinaikos is in good shape. And they know it’s difficult to play Olympiakos anytime.”
