Coleman: “There was fatigue in the second half”
Chris Coleman explained that his team coped well with the pressure from PAOK, but his players began to tire in the second half as they were not in the best possible physical condition due to the coronavirus.
Chris Coleman told NOVA immediately after the end of the game between Atromitos and PAOK in Toumba that his team did very well in the first half but then the cameras went blank due to the mediocre physical condition of some players who had coronavirus.
Details of what Chris Coleman told NOVA: About the game: “It was a difficult game. Three days ago we played a difficult game against Lamia and today we had 6-7 players returning with coronavirus. Our condition was difficult, but I think we coped well with the pressure from PAOK. That’s football, unfortunately we didn’t manage to get anything out of the game today“.
For what didn’t go well in the second half: “The first 30 minutes were very good, we threatened, we had chances but we got tired. I have no complaints, PAOK is a very good team. We had some comebacks but we lost Kivrakidis before the game started. I’m satisfied with the performance of my team“.
